20 murdered, 17 harmed in Chitwan transport mischance

CHITWAN: At minimum 20 people were killed and 17 others harmed when the transport they were on board dove 100 meters down into Trishuli River along the Narayangadh-Muglin street area in Chitwan region, at around 4:45 am in the small hours of Friday.

The doomed traveler transport Ga 1 Kha 3709, making a beeline for Pokhara from Gaur of Rautahat region, met with mischance close Kalikhola in Chandibhanjyang VDC of Chitwan region, as per Superintendent of Police (SP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, the head of Chitwan District Police Office.

It is said that there were 39 individuals including transport driver and a conductor on the transport. The whereabouts of driver and conductor, be that as it may, was promptly not known.

Upwards of 30 travelers had boarded the transport at Gaur and seven others at Chandranigahpur, as indicated by the general secretary of Prithvi Highway Bus Entrepreneurs Committee (PHBEC), Yogendra KC.

The occurrence site is 2.5 km far from Munglin, educated police.

Police and local people saved the harmed and angled out the bodies from the destruction of transport, which was submerged in the waterway.

In the mean time, the harmed have been sent to the clinics in Bharatpur in the region. Security staff conveyed from Chitwan DPO are doing the pursuit operation at the site.
